Hi everyone,
Today, I am reviewing the newly launched Simple kind to skin moisturising facial wash with Pro Vitamin B5, E & Pro Amino Acids. It’s a 100% soap-free face wash for all skin types. But is this vegan, paraben-free, Simple moisturising face wash great for sensitive and acne-prone skin? Let’s find out!
About SIMPLE New Kind To Skin Moisturising Face Wash:
The brand says,
Meet Simple Kind to Skin Moisturising Facial Wash. Supercharged with a NEW, vitamin-rich formula – this is the same gentle care you know and love from Simple – made even more effective for stronger, healthy-looking and smooth skin. With 2X pro vitamin B5, together with vitamin E, this deep cleansing, foaming gel-cream helps skin become more resilient against damage with every wash. Its Pro Amino Acid Technology boosts the levels of strengthening amino acids naturally present in skin, for a hydrated and healthy skin barrier against drying elements like pollution.
You’ll love the non-stripping, pH-neutral lather which leaves skin gratifyingly clean and satisfyingly moisturised. And you can count on this facial wash to remove every last trace of make-up, dirt and grime – minus that tight, dry skin feeling. It is free from alcohol, mineral oils, artificial colours and perfume

My Take On NEW Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Foaming Face Wash (Review):
(Skin type: Combination (leans towards dry), sensitive, acne-prone and dehydrated)
After trying out Simple purifying cleansing lotion and the old version of this same Simple moisturising face wash for a long time, I was curious to try their new revamped face wash. Recently, when I checked the website, I noticed it has a pretty bad reputation for causing rashes and acne. But today, I am sharing my real-life experience with this product. You already know I have super sensitive and acne-prone skin, and I have been using this Simple foaming face wash for the past year. So, if you are still dubious about this product, read on!
The Packaging & Texture of Simple Moisturising Face Wash:
This new moisturising face wash comes in a 150ml green and white color-coded plastic tube secured with a flip-top cap. The packaging features all the product-related information including the ingredients list. The cap shuts tight, so I didn’t face any leakage issues during traveling.
Simple new moisturising facial wash has a cloudy, gel-cream texture with a medium runny consistency. It doesn’t have any fragrance. So, if you dislike using scented face washes, it’s for you!
How I Use it & What It Does- Performance:
I take a small amount of this Simple face wash and apply it to my wet skin. I massage my skin gently until it produces a mild lather. It doesn’t create frothy foam, anyway! After a few seconds, I wash it off with cool water. I don’t use warm water while cleansing, as my skin already leans towards dryness!
I must admit that I didn’t find any difference between the old and the new versions 😐! They work just the same. I get neither an extra hydrating effect nor extra clean, glowing & refreshing effects from the revamped face wash! Also, when I checked the ingredient lists of both versions, I couldn’t find any major difference in their composition, either!
According to their claim, they have just boosted its (new one) formula by adding twice the Pro Vitamin B5 (Panthenol) power with Vitamin E. Not sure what’s the point of revamping a product if it imparts the same result? But wait! Several users are complaining about this new moisturising face wash of its changed formula. Thankfully, I have not experienced any skin issues with this product so far! Kindly remember that we all have different skin types and concerns. If a product suits my skin, it does not mean that it’ll work for your skin, too! We might get the opposite results anytime.
As a daily cleanser, it works great for my combination-dry skin 😍! It removes all the dirt and grime without stripping my skin’s natural moisture balance. My skin never felt over-stripped or dry afterward! Although I don’t have to run for moisturizers immediately post-cleansing, I never fail to moisturize my skin with a hydrating serum and face cream afterward. My skin feels soft, clean, and refreshed each time post-usage.
Since you need only a tiny amount of this foaming face wash, this product lasts longer than its peers. Even though I have acne-prone and sensitive skin, I never have had any acne issues with this new simple moisturising cleanser. It has never caused any skin issues for me. Hence, I am pleased with both old and new revamped versions of moisturising face wash from the Simple brand.

- Lasts long
- Great for combination to dry, sensitive and acne-prone skin types

Things I Dislike/ Cons:
- Contains SLES!
- Not true to its claim of removing every last trace of makeup! I use a dedicated makeup remover to clean my makeup before using this face wash as a second cleanser. I follow a double-cleansing routine!
- If you have oily skin, use this moisturising foaming face wash during the winter months!
- Currently, it is available in only one size -150ml on their website. Therefore, even if you want to try a sample size first, that is not an option now! I hope it comes in various sizes soon on the website and Amazon with a better formula!
- I didn’t find any major difference between the old and new formula or ingredients of this moisturisng foaming face wash. Plus, many consumers are unhappy with this cleanser. I am a happy customer, though 🙂!

Q. How and when to use it?
A: As per instruction, you must wet your face with warm water first. Then, squeeze a small amount into your hands and work into a lather. Massage gently in a circular motion onto your wet skin. Next, rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. For best results, use morning and night and follow it with a nice moisturizer.
Q. Does Simple Moisturising Face wash remove makeup?
A: No, it does not! Although it claims to remove every last trace of makeup, in reality, it is not that effective, especially if you wear waterproof makeup 😟. I always remove my makeup with a makeup remover first, followed by cleansing my skin with this moisturising face wash as a second cleanser.

Did you know you can always use your face wash as a body wash? Don’t throw a product away just because it’s not working on your facial skin, beauties 🙂!
Q. Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion VS Simple Moisturising Face Wash – which is the best for dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin?
A: I vote for the purifying cleansing lotion because it works great for my combination-dry skin ❤️! However, it also depends on your skin type, skin concerns, and the place you live.
➡️ If you have dry skin (with no skin concerns such as acne or allergy)- You can try both cleansers!
➡️ If you have super dry skin plus acne or allergic issues and your place has a cool climate – Try the purifying cleansing lotion.
➡️ If you live in hot and humid countries like INDIA/HONG KONG and you have dry skin with acne issues – Try the moisturising foaming face wash.
➡️ If you have oily skin – Skip this Simple moisturising face wash in the summer and use it during the colder months instead.
Conclusion:
The new Simple Kind to Skin Moisturising face wash is a lovely hydrating 100% soap free foaming face wash that removes oil, dirt, and grime efficiently from your skin without drying it out. I have used both old and new versions of this moisturising cleanser and am pleased with them. It’s vegan, paraben free, and alcohol free. So if you are looking for a gentle cleanser for your sensitive skin, try it once.
Will You Purchase Simple Kind to Skin Moisturising Face Wash Again?
Nope. I’ll try next other face washes from this Simple brand.
