My Experience with The Edinburgh Naturals French Lavender And Frankincense Body Butter (Review):
(My body skin type = Dry & sensitive)
The Edinburgh Naturals French Lavender and Frankincense Body Butter with Vitamin E is available in two sizes. I got the mini travel-size body butter along with a perfume oil from this brand. I have been using them for the past few months, so now I’m absolutely ready to share my thoughts with you all 🩷.
Product Packaging:
The travel-size Edinburgh Naturals Lavender and Frankincense Body Butter comes in a cute, mini 15 ml cylindrical container made of translucent, frosted glass with a wooden screw-on cap. You can find all the important product details on the back of the glass packaging. The wooden cap features the brand name and an ornate floral emblem.

The full-size version is not travel-friendly, but you can easily carry this sample jar everywhere. Overall, this small, matte-finish glass package is cute and practical. It’s made in Scotland, UK.
Product Texture:
The Edinburgh Naturals vegan Lavender and Frankincense Body Butter has an off-white, solid balm texture and a lovely lavender fragrance. The scent is subtle, sweet, and not overpowering.

How To Use It:
I take a small amount of this body butter and apply it to my skin. I gently massage it in circular motions until it is absorbed into the skin. You can use it daily on your hands, elbows, knees, or any dry areas that need extra care.

Product Performance:
The Edinburgh Naturals Lavender and Frankincense rich, oil-infused balm transforms upon contact with the warmth of your skin, melting from a solid salve into a lightweight, easily blendable oil. So, upon application, it feels like you’ve applied oil to your skin. The best part is that it doesn’t leave any oily or greasy residue, unlike other heavy-duty body butters for dry skin. Of course, initially, it imparts a shiny, sleek look, but after a while, it gets completely absorbed into the skin.
You need only a small amount of this handmade product each time to moisturize your dry skin. Hence, it lasts a long time, especially considering its small size! As a fan of lavender fragrances, its sweet, floral, natural scent is my absolute favorite. The scent lingers on my body for a long time as well! I love it when my skin smells good without using any extra deodorants or perfumes 🩷.

As a vegan, lightweight body moisturizer, it works amazingly and keeps my dry skin moisturized for a good amount of time. My skin feels soft, smooth, and nourished after using it. During winter, you’ll have to reapply it, but in summer, reapplication is not needed. I skipped it completely during heat waves, though!
This natural moisturizer is powered by some amazing skin-loving ingredients, such as Vitamin E, shea butter, and coconut oil, which are superfoods for dry skin. It’s also infused with French lavender and frankincense essential oils, which soothe the skin, support an even skin tone, and add a warm, grounding fragrance.
Since last year, I’ve started using cream-based body moisturizers first, followed by body oils. This two-step moisturizing technique has somehow improved my Sahara Desert-like dry skin. If you also experience extremely dry skin, you can definitely use this oil-infused body butter balm as the last step of your body-care routine. The invigorating, long-lasting herbal scent is a bonus 😍!

What I Dislike About/Cons of The Edinburgh Naturals Lavender and Frankincense Body Butter:
Nothing as such, except for the packaging, which could be improved!
I wish it had a separate seal to prevent leakage or spills. During summer travel, this body butter cannot retain its solid balm texture. It turns into a liquid, oily formula, which gets transferred into the cap while traveling. The entire process makes it harder to scoop out the product neatly later. A protective external barrier would prevent this mess and make the packaging much more travel-friendly.
EE RATING:
4.8/5
Conclusion:
The brand claims that The Edinburgh Naturals Lavender and Frankincense Body Butter is ideal for dry and sensitive skin, and I couldn’t agree more! It is gentle, hydrating, and highly effective at treating dryness and moisturizing the skin. This vegan and natural body moisturizer is worth trying if you are looking for a hydrating body butter for your dry skin.
