My Experience With The Body Shop Almond Milk Body Butter (Review):
(Skin Type – Dry and sensitive)
I’ve been using this body butter for the past year, and I’m now happily through my second tub. So, I’m finally ready to share my honest thoughts on this bestselling body care gem.
Product Packaging:
The Body Shop almond milk body butter comes in a 3 different sizes – 50ml, 200ml and 400ml. My 200ml body butter came in a sturdy, dark green plastic tub with a stylish aluminium lid. The lid features a colourful, nature-inspired design with leafy patterns and warm tones, giving it a fresh, earthy vibe. The label clearly states it offers 96H nourishing moisture and is vegan-certified. During my last house moving, I didn’t experience any leakage issues!

Product Texture:
The Body Shop almond milk body butter has a white, rich creamy texture with a thick consistency. It carries a subtle, sweet, and nutty scent that’s just delightful 😍!

How Does It Work – Performance Details:
This body butter has a rich, creamy formula that glides smoothly onto the skin and absorbs after a little while, leaving no greasy residue. Despite its thick texture, it feels surprisingly lightweight and non-sticky.
I apply a generous dollop of this almond milk body butter to moisturise my dry skin. I give it a minute to sink into my skin completely before I get dressed up! As a moisturizer, it does a pretty great job in keeping my skin (especially knees, elbows & feet) nourished the whole day. Although it claims to offer 96 hours of moisturization, I have never tested it for that long a time! Plus, with my extremely dry skin, I usually need to reapply it at night. So, from my experience, I’d say it doesn’t fully live up to the 96-hour claim 😕.
I love using scented personal care products and its sweet nutty aroma lingers on my body for a long time, which I enjoy a lot! The cream is so nourishing that I often use it as my foot cream and it never disappoints ❤️.

Is Body Shop Body Butter good for dry skin?
Absolutely! This Almond milk body butter is composed of some amazing skin-loving ingredients (95% ingredients of natural origin). If you read the label carefully you’ll notice that Shea Butter is listed as the second ingredient followed by glycerine and cocoa butter – all are amazing to treat dry skin woes 😍!
I love using Shea and cocoa butter infused body care products for my super dry skin and this cream exceeds my level of expectations. Plus, since it’s a lightweight and non-greasy moisturiser, you can use it during the summer season too! Of course, you’ll require only a tiny amount of cream to moisturize your summer-sweaty skin.
For places like London (or similar climates), The Body Shop Almond Milk Body Butter is perfect year-round. But for other hot and humid places like India, I’d suggest using it during winter only!

I can practically smell the sweet nutty aroma!
This sounds so good! My legs are always super dry and this would be perfect for after I shower. My skin is just so dry and cracked. Sounds like it has a lovely scent as well.
We love The Body Shop products and I purchased the ginger shampoo after reading about it here on your blog (and my daughter loves it!!). This body butter sounds amazing, and can make for a great gift item too
I’m always wary of fragrance in products, but glad to hear this didn’t irritate your sensitive skin. Your detailed notes really help!
