Tulleys Tulip Fields, Hertfordshire Review + Anniversary Moments

My husband knows how much I love gardens, so he took me to the Tulleys Tulip Fields at Willows Farm Park, Hertfordshire, to celebrate our wedding anniversary this year. Read this post till the end to find out why this tulip field is worth visiting before it closes for the season on 5th May.

How To Get To The Tulleys Tulips Fields, Hertfordshire:

Things To See & Do At Tulleys Tulip Fields, Hertfordshire (Review):

Did you know that Tulleys Tulips hosts not just one, but three blooming beautiful experiences across the UK? There’s the Tulip Fest in Sussex, the Tulip Garden in Warwickshire, and of course, the Tulip Fields in Hertfordshire. Each location offers a sea of vibrant tulips, over 15 dreamy photo spots, tasty food and drinks, and even live roaming musicians to add that extra bit of springtime magic. Since Hertfordshire is the closest to our city, Milton Keynes, it made perfect sense for us to head there this year. And we’re so glad we did 🤩!

We visited Tulleys Tulip Fields early in the morning at 9:30 AM and it was perfectly peaceful before the crowds arrived. If you’re planning a visit, aim for the early slot to enjoy a quiet walk among the tulips and get those picture-perfect shots without waiting!

My camera-shy, motorbike enthusiast husband’s excitement over the tractor and cruiser photo props was absolutely adorable! Instead of flowers, he was more interested in taking photos with them and I happily agreed 😍.

It’s these quirky little touches around the tulip field that make the whole visit even more fun and memorable 🙂.

Over 100 varieties of tulips have been planted here at these fields – early bloomers, mid-season, and the late arrivals. It’s like Mother Nature’s version of a rotating fashion show 👌🏻.

Honestly, wandering through these fields was the perfect way to spend our special day. The sun was shining, the air was fresh, and the colors, everything was beautiful 🤩 !

All this walking and flower admiring is definitely working up an appetite! Luckily, Tulleys has got you covered with their “Taste of Holland” area. And when you need a little break to rest your feet and soak in the atmosphere, the Tulip Coffee House is the perfect spot.

One thing I always check upon arriving at any touristy place or event is the toilet situation. Thankfully, the toilets here were clean, neat, and spacious.

Please remember, the tulip fields are for display only, so picking the flowers is a no-no. But fret not, if you’d like to take a bit of the tulip magic home, there’s a lovely Tulip Boutique near the exit where you’ll find fresh-cut blooms and charming potted tulips, perfect for gifting or brightening up your home. They also have Tulips printed T-shirts, soft toys, candles and other gifts.

Last year, I picked up a natural body lotion from Hitchin Lavender Farm. This time at the tulip farm, I was hoping to find some tulip-infused skin or hair care products, but sadly, there weren’t any. So, I ended up not purchasing anything from the boutique shop 😕.

From colourful blooms to delicious ice creams and peaceful walks among the petals, it was just what we needed for a joyful anniversary outing. It took us only about three hours to walk through the flower fields and enjoy our little photo sessions, so we were back home by 1 PM 😄!
