Nothing beats the little excitement of unboxing fresh makeup products! Recently, I received a gifted collaboration from YENSA featuring four of their makeup products, and as someone who loves beauty products that blur the line between skincare and makeup, I was really curious to see what the brand had to offer. If you’re interested in learning more about YENSA makeup products and my experience with them, keep reading!
First Impressions of YENSA Makeup: Testing 4 Bestselling Beauty Products:
YENSA has built a reputation around glow-focused formulas infused with skincare-inspired ingredients, which honestly sounds right up my alley. Healthy-looking skin with makeup that doesn’t feel heavy? I love to hear it!

So in today’s post, I’m sharing my first impressions of the YENSA makeup line, from packaging and texture to pigmentation, finish, and overall wear. This isn’t a full long-term review just yet, but more of an honest first look at how these products performed straight out of the box and onto my face.
Some products impressed me immediately. A couple surprised me. And one made me pause mid-application in the best way possible 😍.
Let’s get into it.

YENSA Super Serum Silk Foundation:
The first product I received in my PR package is this YENSA Super Serum Silk Foundation.
Even though I’ve been using foundations for years, I still get confused when choosing shades! I know my skin tone, undertone, and all that, yet I still find it incredibly challenging to find a shade that’s an exact match, especially when trying a new brand. I had to contact the YENSA team to help me with the shades and they suggested that I go with their Medium 3 Warm shade for my medium-dark, warm/yellow skin tone.
For reference, I’m NC40 in MAC Matchmaster Foundation (sadly discontinued) and 3W2 Cashew in Estee Lauder Double Wear (older formula) Foundation.
The packaging is so pretty. The foundation comes in a tall, metallic gold finish box. The bottle features a metallic gold cap and a matching gold-colored base.

I love using skincare and makeup products with dewy finishes for my combination-dehydrated skin! Since this is a serum silk foundation, upon application it gives a nice dewy look to my skin.
I feel that Medium 3 is one shade lighter than my natural skin tone. At first it looks great but then it gradually turns slightly ashy on me. It might be oxidizing on me, or it could be clashing with my skincare products. With my all sort of skin issues, anything can happen 😭!
For example, my MAC shade suits my skin tone perfectly, yet it oxidizes heavily on me and makes me look grey. But I love how my photos turn out amazing with that foundation, haha 😂. Unfortunately, it’s been discontinued!
That said, I’m super impressed with YENSA serum foundation’s silky smooth hydration formula. It feels lightweight and dewy, making it a great option for those with dry skin. You know what, I’m not going to give up on this foundation. I’ll definitely try other solutions as I truly love the formula.
Also, I’m also planning to test its staying power and see how it performs in different weather conditions. So stay tuned for my detailed review of this foundation.

YENSA Luxe Lip Nourishing Oil with HA + Vitamin E – Rising Ruby:
The next product is YENSA Luxe Lip Oil. The lip oil range has 10 shades, I chose Rising Ruby, a Crimson Red color, because I love red shades 😍.
This is the second lip oil I tried in my life, the first one was a sample I got in one of my beauty boxes years ago.
The packaging is lovely. The lip oil comes in a clear, frosted cylindrical tube sealed with a reflective, metallic gold-toned cap. It comes with a plush, teardrop-shaped doe-foot applicator which makes application effortless!

I am not a lip gloss girly but my experience with hydrating lip oils in the past has been amazing. This lip oil feels pretty hydrating and the Crimson Red color looks great on my pigmented lips too. You can definitely wear tinted lip oils alone but I love wearing a lip liner first before applying lip oil to enhance the color. In the above photo, I didn’t wear any lip liner underneath the Rising Ruby lip oil for testing purpose.
Please remember to shake the tube for better mixing before applying it to your lips. I haven’t worn it for an extended period yet, so I can’t comment on its staying power. In my detailed review post, I’ll definitely share every little thing about this lip oil, stay tuned.

YENSA Super Serum Silk Matte Pressed Powder Peptide Foundation – Medium 3:
The next item is the YENSA Super Serum Silk Pressed Powder Foundation. I picked the same shade as the liquid foundation, which is Medium 3 warm.
The powder foundation comes in a terracotta-colored outer cardboard box. The packaging is simple and elegant. I love the champagne-pink metallic color of the circular compact. Inside the compact, you’ll find a smooth, medium-tan pressed powder pan and a built-in circular mirror.

I’ve been using the wrong shade of Maybelline Dream Satin powder foundation in the shade PO Peach Puff for the last few years 😄. Even though this shade is lighter than my skin, after oxidation it looks great on me! But it’s been discontinued and thankfully I got this YENSA powder foundation at the right time.
I’m so happy because, unlike the Serum Silk Foundation, this powder foundation shade matches my skin tone very well and looks absolutely natural, not ashy! It applies beautifully and feels lightweight on the skin. I didn’t notice any rough patches or oxidation on my combination skin post application.
You can wear it alone or on top of your foundation! I tried both ways and it performed equally amazing. It’s my favorite product from YENSA as of now ❤️.
I’ll have to wear it for a longer period to see how long it lasts. I’ll share more details in my full review post later, no worries!

YENSA Super Serum Silk Buildable Cream Blush – GINGER BLAZE:
The fourth and final product I received is the YENSA Super Serum Silk Cream Blush in the shade Ginger Blaze.
The blush compact features the same elegant design as the powder foundation.
I chose the Ginger Blaze shade because of its warm terracotta or brown-ish color. I don’t have such a shade in my vanity, so thought it would be a nice addition to my makeup collection. Plus, I thought it would show up beautifully on my medium-deep skin tone.

The texture of this blush is super creamy and applies beautifully to my cheeks. I don’t know why it doesn’t show up well in photos. It has a medium to buildable coverage, so I tried adding more layers gradually.
In person, I can clearly see the colour on my cheeks, but in photos, it almost disappears! I seriously need to move to iPhone from Samsung, ASAP 🙄.
I love the color of this creamy satin blush and feel that Ginger Blaze is the perfect warm terracotta shade for medium-dark skin tones.
All of these YENSA beauty products are formulated with skin-loving ingredients, including 8 SuperBlacks Essence, 8 SuperOils, Vitamins C and E, Ferulic Acid, and Bakuchiol.

They feel lightweight, creamy, and radiant on the skin, making them particularly suitable for those with dry skin.
As I mentioned earlier, this post focuses solely on my first impressions, so keep your eyes out for their detailed reviews on my blog and social media.
