I hope all of you are enjoying the summer season. I recently celebrated my birthday with my loving husband and a few close friends. As is my tradition, I’ve set some birthday resolutions this year too! So in today’s article, I am sharing about the celebration, my resolutions, and the fabulous outfit I wore to lunch at Namji Indian restaurant, Milton Keynes. Keep scrolling, friends!
My Birthday Resolutions of 2024:
Here are my three birthday resolutions for 2024!
1. Digital Detox:
I’ve been doing regular digital detoxes for the past few years, and I’m sticking with it this year too. You know taking a break from technology helps us connect more deeply with ourselves and others.
2. Prioritizing Health (Mainly Sleep Routine):
This year, I’m making my health a priority, especially my sleep routine. I’ll be having regular check-ups, getting a proper 8 hours of sleep (not just 3-4 hrs), and staying active with yoga or walks. I’ve ignored my health for too long, but not anymore. After all, health is wealth, my friends!
3. Self-Compassion:
I’m learning to be kind to myself. It’s so important to recognize that it’s okay to make mistakes and that self-compassion is key to resilience and happiness.

My Birthday Celebration, 2024:
My husband and I decided to go for lunch at famous Namji Indian restaurant in Milton Keynes. I’ll share this restaurant’s review soon, stay tuned! 😉
After lunch, we again planned to visit the nearby beautiful Fred Roche Gardens. I wanted to take some nice photos of the flowers and my birthday outfit. My mission was successful, haha 😀!
On our way back home, we got the birthday cake in chocolate flavour which we savoured in the evening.
I typically enjoy celebrating special occasions only with my husband here in the UK. So, I didn’t invite anyone for my birthday this year. However, by a delightful coincidence, our wonderful close neighbor friends dropped by that evening! They honestly had no idea it was my birthday. Since they learned from my husband that I caught fever a week back, they were simply checking up on me. How sweet of them ❤️! Anyway, we ate good food (takeaway) and had so much fun together!

My Birthday OOTD/Look Details:
Since it’s summer, I chose to wear a Rust/Burnt Orange coloured midi dress for my birthday lunch date!
I bought this summer-friendly beautiful Rust dress for myself from the brand ONLY during my last trip to India in April this year. This dress features button down detailing and puff sleeves, elegantly paired with a detailed V neckline. It’s flowy and perfect for summer but can easily be worn in winter too!
This dress is super soft, stretchy and lightweight. I love that it fits me perfectly and offers both comfort and style. The best part? It has pockets! It even hides my lower belly pooch to an extent, haha. In short, I love this elegant dress ❤️.
I completed my look with medium-sized drop earrings and flat ballerina shoes with this dress, perfect for all the walking we had to do that day. I am in love with these shoes, super comfortable. I did forget to bring my purse, though 😔!
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Rust Dress – ONLY, India
Birthday Top – Floral top from Mango and bow hair band from Primark
Shoes – J FONTINI White Ballerina shoes from MOCHI store. They are so soft and comfy, get them asap!

Make-up Look Details:
Face: I used moisturiser, sunscreen, the concealer-corrector to hide the dark circles and spots, tiny amount of brown-skin friendly foundation and red tint on cheeks and loose setting powder under eyes.
Eyes: I applied a mix of brown and rust colored eyeshadows from the ABH glam palette to my top eyelids followed by brown and black eyeliners on the lash lines, and black mascara to coat the lashes.
Lips: For my lips, I mixed Pixie lipstick (Luna by Luna) with Primark Vintage rose lip liner. Somehow, that lipstick shade didn’t flatter my skin tone so I improvised.
This year, I had an amazing 38th birthday celebration, and I am always grateful to god and universe for that 😇. I share my birthday month with my adorable niece (elder sister’s daughter), too 😍!
