My Experience with You’re Looking Well Day Cream & Night Cream (Review):
When you are blessed with sensitive, acne-prone skin, finding the right moisturizer among a sea of products can be quite tricky. Moreover, when you rely entirely on just one product (aka a moisturizer) to address all your skin concerns in a 2-step routine, it’s no joke!
My regular skincare routine involves five steps – cleanse, serum, eye cream, moisturizer, and lip balm (plus sunscreen during the day and acne treatment when necessary). But when I feel lazy, or my skin is behaving well, or it’s the hot summer season, I simply cleanse my skin, follow up with a lightweight moisturizer and lip balm, and call it a day. Simple routines can sometimes work better than complex ones. What do you think?
I received You’re Looking Well skincare products and supplements as PR samples and have been using them for the past month. So I feel now is the perfect time to share my experience with you. Do I recommend them? Let’s get into the details!
Product packaging:
I have to give full marks for their aesthetic packaging! The duo arrived in a YLW-branded box along with a product pamphlet. The day and night cream bottles are designed with a modern apothecary feel and come housed in slim rectangular cardboard boxes.

Both glass bottles are durable, opaque, and feature a warm buttercup yellow hue with a glossy finish and softly rounded edges. They come with pump dispensers for hygienic and controlled application. All the important details are printed on the back of both the bottles and the outer boxes. They are travel-friendly too, if packed carefully!
Product Texture:
YLW Day Cream is a milky, translucent white moisturizer. It has a lightweight, fluid consistency, similar to a lotion-milk or a light emulsion. It is fragrance-free and has a high-gloss, watery sheen.

YLW Night Cream is a pale yellow moisturizer with a dense, thick consistency. It is unscented as well and has a satiny, dewy finish.
If you dislike or are sensitive to scented skincare products, these are perfect for you!

How I use YLW Day & Night Moisturizers:
The brand suggests using 3–4 pumps of the Day or Night Cream on freshly cleansed skin, and I follow that instruction. For my skin, three small pumps are enough to cover my face, neck, and décolletage, especially when I apply a hydrating serum underneath. I always finish my AM routine with sunscreen and my PM routine with a facial oil to seal in moisture.
How Do YLW Day & Night Creams Work (Performance):
The bottles themselves are easy to handle, thanks to their soft, rounded edges. I dislike products that are difficult to grip, especially when I’m in a hurry!
The texture of the Day Cream is creamy yet lightweight. Upon application, it transforms into a watery consistency and spreads evenly across the skin. It absorbs quickly, providing refreshing, weightless hydration almost instantly.

I love that it leaves my skin soft and hydrated without feeling greasy. It also layers beautifully under sunscreen and makeup.
YLW’s cruelty-free Day Cream contains powerful skin-identical ingredients and fermented actives. Vitamin C and niacinamide help brighten the skin and protect it from pollution, while probiotics support a healthy skin microbiome.
However, it does not contain sunscreen agents. Ingredients like Vitamin C and blue-light activated microalgae help defend against environmental stressors, but they do not block UV rays. So don’t forget to apply a separate SPF over your moisturizer before heading outside!
The YLW Night Cream has a rich, creamy texture that glides smoothly over the skin. It takes a little longer to absorb, but even when used alone, it leaves the skin looking soft, nourished, and glowing. Despite its richness, it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, making it suitable even for summer. Every morning, my skin feels a bit more plump and rested.

You’re Looking Well vegan night creamis specially formulated for overnight recovery. While the Day Cream focuses on hydration, the Night Cream emphasizes barrier repair and soothing. It replaces brightening actives with calming ingredients like oat kernel oil, chia seed oil, and beta-glucan, making it more nourishing and reparative. How thoughtful, right?

Do YLW Day & Night Cream Cause Breakouts?
No, they do not!
Every month during my cycle, I experience breakouts that often leave acne marks 😭. I was concerned these creams might worsen my skin, especially the Night Cream due to its oil content. My skin is quite picky and only tolerates certain oils like squalane.
I was also worried about how my acne treatment balm would react with these creams. But surprisingly, they worked beautifully together! The creams helped soothe irritation while my treatment addressed the breakouts.
I noticed visible improvement in my acne marks after consistent use. However, I did need to layer a hydrating serum underneath while using active treatments. If you have dry skin and use acne treatments, I’d definitely recommend adding a nourishing serum/essence beforehand.
I also paused other scar treatments for a few days to properly test these products. Since YLW products are science-backed, I felt confident trying them this way. Thankfully, the results have been quite promising so far 🩷.
Do YLW Day & Night Moisturizers Help With Wrinkles and Fine Lines?
Honestly, I may not be the best person to comment on this. Thanks to my regular facial massage routine using a microcurrent device and nourishing creams, my fine lines have already softened.

As for dark circles, that’s more about my sleep schedule than skincare, if I’m being honest 😭. So I rely on hydrating eye creams!
Since incorporating YLW moisturizers and supplements, my skin has been behaving better overall. I’m hopeful that continued use will address more concerns over time.
I am stepping into my 40s, so I’ve fully embraced skincare that supports aging skin. Glass skin? Maybe a bit ambitious, but we’ll see 🤞! I shared my 30s skincare routine a few years back, stay tuned for my updated 40s skincare routine with all important tips and tricks!
If you are sensitive to fragrance, you will appreciate these unscented, essential oil-free moisturizers. They pair well with makeup, do not cause irritation or breakouts, and help soothe, hydrate, and improve overall skin texture. They seem to work even better when combined with the brand’s supplements (pills). What more could I’ve asked for 😍?

CONCLUSION:
To sum up,
You’re Looking Well Day and Night Creams are gentle, nourishing yet lightweight vegan anti-aging moisturizers suitable for sensitive, acne-prone skin. They are pregnancy-safe, silicone-free, and suitable for all skin types.
