Things I’m Currently Loving – Beauty & Fashion Haul + Review

Spring is in the air, and I hope everyone is having a great time with their loved ones. Today, I’ll be sharing my recent beauty and fashion finds, a little shopping haul of pieces I’m currently enjoying, along with mini reviews to help you decide whether they’re worth buying or not. Curious to know more? Keep scrolling!

Things I’m Currently Loving – Beauty & Fashion Haul:

Let me start with my fashion finds first. There are a few formal events lined up that we need to attend this end of March & April, so I had been looking for some nice outfits since January and finally found a few pieces. I usually don’t mind wearing the same outfit multiple times, however, buying new pieces is always exciting, right?

Also, I found some of these online, so I’ve linked them for you. Do check them out!

HOBBS Agnes Satin Dress in Red (John Lewis store):

Isn’t this dress pretty 😍? I love wearing elegant dresses, so was super excited to find this beauty at Hobbs. Thank God, John Lewis had this dress in their CentreMK store. It’s so hard to find a nice dress within my budget these days, ugh 🙄!

A three-panel collage of the Hobbs Agnes Satin Dress in a rich wine color. The left and right panels show the dress hanging on a wooden hanger against a neutral wall, highlighting its cap sleeves, cinched waist with a self-tie belt, and flowy midi skirt. The center panel shows a model wearing the dress, demonstrating its elegant drape and asymmetric hemline.

This dress comes in two colours, blue and Onyx Red. I chose red, as I already have quite a few blue pieces in my wardrobe. The shade leans more towards a rich wine red than a true red, which is exactly what caught my attention.

I love that it doesn’t accentuate my tummy area, thanks to the tie-waist. The dress features a boat neckline, short sleeves, a back zip closure, and in-seam side pockets. The modest length and design make it perfect for weddings or formal events.

If I don’t get any other beautiful dress by April, I’ll be wearing this for my wedding anniversary or maybe birthday 😄.

My Height – 5’5’’

Dress Size – UK 10

Dress length – Falls right below my knee

Shell and lining: 100% polyester

John Lewis Wool Blend Boucle Jacket in White:

I was actually looking for a tweed blazer but spotted this white, wool-blend, single-breasted bouclé jacket in-store and instantly fell in love. It’s finished with a classic collar and gold-toned buttons down the front. To add to my joy, it pairs perfectly with the Hobbs Agnes dress. I can style it with so many of my existing outfits, and honestly, I can’t wait!

NEW LOOK Women Jeans:

In my previous Yoga Mat Review post, I mentioned that I gained some weight last year, moving from size 8 to 10 & 12 😭! So, naturally, none of my old jeans fit anymore. I am trying to lose weight, so far so good. However, I had to purchase a couple of everyday wear jeans and formal trousers for work and travel purposes.

New Look Tori high waist mom jeans and petite Taylor full length slim-fit jeans

I love this brand, so I picked up two pairs of blue jeans in size 12. One is a relaxed-fit, high-waist Tori mom jeans and the other is the petite Taylor full length slim-fit jeans.

Features of TORI Mom Jeans- These stretchy, relaxed blue mom jeans are designed to a high-waisted (mid rise) profile, they have tapered legs that graze the ankles. These come with folded cuffs, classic five pockets, zip-fly and button.

I love these pants 😍.

The Taylor slim-fit jeans are designed with both style and function in mind. They feature a flattering mid-rise waist and a sleek full-length cut with a clean, finished edge. I love that they come with a classic five-pocket design and a traditional zip-fly with button fastening, making them feel polished yet comfortable at the same time… the kind of piece you can rely on when you don’t want to overthink an outfit.

I got the slim-fit pair in size 12 as well, and I think they sit quite nicely on me. Not too tight, not overly skinny, just that perfect in-between fit that feels easy and flattering without trying too hard. My height is 5″5”, yet that petite jeans fit me!

NEW LOOK Knit Tops:

As soon as I heard our local New Look store was closing, I knew I had to grab a few tops. Yes, I can shop online anytime, but let’s be honest, sizing can be unpredictable. Hence I learned the lesson the hard way and now I do store shopping maximum times for my outfits.

A black and white striped, short-sleeved knit cardigan from New Look hanging on a wooden hanger. The top features a white crew neckline, a white vertical button placket, and several round gold buttons down the front.
A sleeveless, ivory and navy blue striped knit vest from New Look hanging on a wooden hanger. The vest features a crew neckline, textured knit fabric, and a front button-down closure with gold-toned buttons. It also includes two small faux pockets at the waist, each accented with a matching gold button.

Anyway, I bought these cute knit tops in size UK8 from New Look.  They fit well, feel comfortable, and look effortlessly chic. I do think size 10 might have been a slightly better fit, but it works.

ZARA White Short Shirt With Shoulder Tabs:

As I mentioned my old trousers and tops don’t fit me now, I headed to Mark & Spencers and Zara to check out their formalwear collections. I couldn’t check M&S’s collection because I got my needed pieces from Zara this time.

A two-panel collage showcasing a white Zara shirt with shoulder tabs. The left panel shows the shirt hanging on a wooden hanger, highlighting its button-down front with gold-toned buttons, pointed collar, and military-style epaulettes on the shoulders. The right panel features a person wearing the shirt tucked into black trousers, demonstrating its slightly cropped length and relaxed, long-sleeved fit.

The first thing I bought from Zara is this beautiful white button-up blouse. This has a collared neckline, long sleeves and shoulder pads featuring front pleats,  and an elasticated back.

The top feels super breathable, lightweight, and looks formal yet trendy. I got this in the UK size 10. I can pair it easily with formal trousers and jeans!

ZARA- Black Formal Trousers:

Next I got these high-waist cropped trousers in size XL. I tried wide leg trousers first but those didn’t look good on me. These come with pronounced seams on the front and back, front pockets, inside button, front fastening with zip and metal hook. They feel so nice to wear, super comfortable and cool, perfect for office plus casual looks.

A three-panel collage showcasing Zara high-waist cropped trousers in black. The left panel shows a person wearing the trousers paired with a gray hoodie. The center panel displays the trousers hanging on a wooden hanger with green clips, highlighting their tapered leg and structured waist. The right panel shows a model wearing the trousers as part of a matching suit set with a cropped blazer.

The outer shell composition is 73% polyester, 20% viscose, and 7% elastane.

ZARA OVERSIZE DOUBLE-BREASTED BLAZER:

The next thing I got from Zara is this oversized double-breasted black blazer in XS size. It comes with a lapel collar, long sleeves with shoulder pads, front double-welt pockets, a back vent at the hem and double-breasted button fastening. The coat feels warm, soft and stylish!

A two-panel collage of a Zara oversized double-breasted black blazer. The left panel shows a model wearing the blazer over a black bralette and matching high-waisted trousers. The right panel features the blazer hanging on a wooden hanger, highlighting its structured lapels, front pockets, and light-colored interior lining.

ZARA Brown Trousers/Sweatpants:

The last thing I bought from Zara is this pair of high-waist fleece straight trousers with an elasticated drawstring waist. I love that the drawstrings are hidden inside the waistband, not outside. It comes with concealed side seam pockets and upon wearing feels great!

A two-panel comparison of brown trousers. The top panel displays the "Zara Brown Trousers," which are a dark mocha color with an elasticated waistband and drawstring. The bottom panel shows the "Buddha Stones Brown Trousers," featuring a similar wide-leg cut in a warmer, chocolate brown shade. Both pairs are shown hanging on wooden hangers against a neutral background.

If you guys remember, I also got a pair of cotton trousers from Budhha stones as PR gifts last year. See the similarities, below. The colors and fit look almost similar, however Buddha Stones one is cotton and the Zara one is of fleece material. But both feel super comfortable and nice. I can’t wait to wear them this spring and summer!

LOVISA Jewelry Haul:

Here comes my favourite part of the haul, the jewelry 🩷. There’s a Lovisa store in our local shopping mall, but I hadn’t had the chance to visit until this month. Their collection is beautiful, and honestly, I was completely spoiled for choice 😍.

A two-panel collage showcasing a selection of gold-toned jewelry from Lovisa. The left panel features three pairs of earrings on white backing cards: a pair of teardrop-shaped dangles, textured gold-toned studs, and sparkling crystal studs. The right panel shows two delicate gold necklaces on white backing cards, one featuring a sunburst pendant and the other a small, square-shaped pendant.

Anyway, I got three pairs of earrings (drop & studs) and two necklace sets.

Tell me, which one do you like the most?

Schuh Cadie Buckle Chelsea Boots in Black:

My old Chelsea boots got damaged last year so I got another similar pair from Schuh store. These black Cadie Buckle Chelsea boots have a rubber outsole and come with an elevated 4cm heel and buckle detailing.  I need to get a knee-length boot next winter!

A three-panel collage of Schuh Cadie Buckle Chelsea Boots in black. The large left panel shows the shiny patent leather boots tucked inside their cardboard shoebox. The top-right panel shows the boots being worn, highlighting the gold buckle detail and ankle height. The bottom-right panel provides a profile view of a single boot, showcasing the pointed toe, block heel, and elasticated side panel with a decorative wrap-around buckle strap.

Essence & Catrice  Eyeliners:

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I love black eyeliners and kajals. However, I’m also quite fond of brown shades as they really make my brown eyes pop while still looking soft and subtle.

Two black eyeliner pencils lying horizontally on a light-colored wooden surface. The top pencil is the Essence Long Lasting eye pencil, and the bottom one is the Catrice Kohl Kajal Waterproof pencil. Text at the bottom of the image reads "Essence & Catrice Eyeliners."

So I got two eyeliners – Essence longlasting, waterproof vegan eye pencil in 02 Hot Chocolate shade and Catrice waterproof Kohl Kajal in 040 Optic BrownChoc shade. I’ll be sharing my experiences with these products soon, stay tuned!

Essence and Maybelline Lipliners:

To be honest, I use lipliners more than lipsticks on a daily basis. I ran out of my red lipstick last year, so this time I picked up lipliners in both red and brown shades. I purchased Essence 8h matte vegan comfort lipliner in 16 Run, Don’t Walk shade, and Maybelline Color Sensational lipliner in shade Brick Red.

Two lipliner pencils lying horizontally on a light wood surface. The top pencil is an Essence 8h Matte comfort lipliner in a nude brown shade. The bottom pencil is a Maybelline Color Sensational lipliner in a bold red shade. Text at the bottom of the image reads "Essence and Maybelline Lipliners."

L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Black Mascara – Balm Noir:

I have been loving mascaras lately. My fellow beauty blogger friends have been raving about this L’Oreal volume mascara, so I had to try it myself. I love how it adds volume to my lashes! I’ll be sharing my thoughts very soon.

A tube of L'Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Balm Noir mascara in black, lying horizontally on a light-colored wooden surface. The mascara tube features a sleek black body with gold lettering and a metallic gold cap. Text at the bottom of the image reads "L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Black Mascara - Balm Noir."

Vegan Nail Polish Removers:

Nail polish remover pads are a must have beauty essentials in my vanity. I do my mani and pedicure at home only. So I love remover pads as they are easy to use on the go and work great! This time I got Boots (UK) vegan plastic-free nail polish remover pads and Superdrug acetone-free remover pads with Vitamin E.

Two round tubs of nail polish remover pads sitting on a wooden surface. On the left is a Superdrug brand tub with a black and white label, shown with its lid off to reveal a silver foil seal. On the right is a Boots brand tub with a coral pink label. Text at the bottom of the image reads "Boots & Superdrug NAIL POLISH REMOVERS."

PR Makeup & Skincare Gifts:

Recently I received a few makeup and skincare products from the UK-based brands. So I thought I should share my first impressions with you over here in case you want to try them out!

AYU COSMETICS (Irish Brand):

I got some wonderful makeup brushes, an individual eyeshadow in the shade Wink, a makeup remover cleansing balm and a peachy sheer cream blush to try out from the Ayu Cosmetics brand. I am in love with the brushes and the cleansing balm!

A four-panel collage featuring a beauty haul from Ayu Cosmetics. The top-left panel shows a set of five black makeup brushes next to white flowers. The top-right shows a tube of liquid makeup and its black packaging. The bottom-left features an open round pot of shimmering berry-pink eyeshadow with "Ayu" printed on the lid. The bottom-right displays a white jar of skincare cream with a small application spatula.

The cleansing balm removes makeup effortlessly and doesn’t clog the pores or cause breakouts.

Ayu Cosmetics makeup brushes are chef’s kiss. I picked up an angled blush/contour brush and a set of eye brushes. I’ve used them a few times already and I’m completely obsessed. The brushes look elegant, their bristles are soft yet sturdy and do not shed a bit while cleaning.

I think I picked the wrong PEACH shade of blush for my medium dark skin tone as it doesn’t pop up nicely on my cheeks or maybe I am using it less than I should. However the color is beautiful and packaging is really cute!

Ayu Cosmetics eyeshadow in the shade WINK is a truly stunning find. It features a delicate pink undertone with a luminous sheen that catches the light beautifully. While it’s versatile enough to be used as a targeted ‘pop’ of shimmer in the center of the lid, I love wearing it as an all-over wash of color. I recently paired it with a pink top, and the monochromatic coordination perfectly tied my entire look together.

I couldn’t find the individual eyeshadow on Amazon. You can grab the palette here though 👉🏻 HERE

You’re Looking Well Skincare:

You know I am a skincare addict. So every time I get a chance to try out new skincare products, I get super excited! I’ll be sharing detailed reviews soon, but for now, all I can say is, they’re really impressive.

A two-panel collage showcasing yellow-branded skincare products from YLW by Kim Denzler. The left panel shows two pump bottles labeled "Day Cream" and "Night Cream" on a blue textured surface. The right panel displays a yellow gift box containing two squeeze tubes and two small round tins, positioned next to a promotional card featuring a close-up of a person with a supplement capsule on their tongue.

My skin was experiencing some acne issues in the beginning of this month (usual period problem), so I was skeptical about using YLW creams on my skin. Fortunately, the moisturizers suited my skin really well!

I received their Discovery Kit which has mini day cream, night cream and day & night pills, a full sized day cream and a full sized night cream to try out this month. I have been using them for the past few weeks, and so far so good! The moisturizers are unscented, light and keep skin nourished.

You can use my code ENCHANTING20 for 20% off your order.

And just like that, a little seasonal refresh finds its way into the wardrobe and the vanity. Some pieces feel like instant classics. Others, well, they grow on you when you least expect it. That’s the charm of a good haul, I think. As the days get brighter and the calendar fills up, I’m really looking forward to styling these finds, mixing, matching, maybe repeating outfits without guilt and adding a little sparkle here and there.

Tell me, which piece caught your eye? And more importantly, what should I review first? Because you know I’ll be back with details.

I hope you find this post helpful. Do not forget to share with your friends and family please, as sharing is caring 🩷.

  1. Oh nice, I love so many of these clothes. I need to get a few pieces for the Spring. I have always like Zara!

  2. Great round-up of your shopping haul! I especially like the HOBBS Agnes Dress because of the flowy skirt and the wine red color.
