My Take on Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Spa Water (Review):

(Skin type- combination, sensitive, dehydrated & acne-prone)

After using Avene & La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, I decided to try Vichy thermal water spray for my sensitive skin. I always look for hydrating and refreshing face mists for my precious skin, and thermal waters usually serve the purpose.

The Packaging & Texture- Look & Feel:

Vichy mineralizing thermal water comes in a long blue and white colored opaque, air-tight container with a sturdy cap and spray packaging. It is easy to use, and the packaging bears all the necessary information related to the product. Though it appears bulky, it’s lightweight and travel-friendly.

The thermal water looks and feels like normal water but is 100% pure and powered with 15 different minerals. It has no fragrance ❤️.

How to use Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Spa Water and what it does:

I always follow the product instruction before using any skincare or makeup products. Vichy says to cleanse the skin and then spray a fine mist of thermal spa water. I do the same and finish my skincare routine with a serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen (daytime).

Vichy thermal water spray is enriched with 15 minerals and claims to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier function. However, I felt, it is less moisturizing than Avene and La Roche-Posay thermal waters

As a face mist, it does add a healthy glow to the skin post-application, but the effect doesn’t last long. Also, my skin starts feeling dry if I don’t apply any nourishing moisturizer immediately after spraying this mineralizing thermal spa water.

The spray nozzle does a great job of spraying a fine mist across my face and neck. When sprayed on my face and body, it feels refreshing and imparts a cooling sensation to the skin. I have an allergy and acne-prone, sensitive skin. And thankfully, it reduces the itching and irritation.

Last year it traveled with me to Lucknow, India. In April and May, Lucknow’s weather was above 40°. Hence, this thermal water came in super handy! During the sightseeing, my sister and I would spray this cool mist on our faces, and it would instantly refresh and soothe our skin.

Infused with rich minerals, I expected the Vichy thermal water would reduce my acne issues. It alone couldn’t diminish the scars or reduce the acne, but it did soothe the skin inflammation.

I use it mainly as a first-step face mist to hydrate my face before using serum and moisturizer in the summers. From my experience, all I can say is, it will work as a wonderful refreshing face mist for oily, sensitive skin people and the hot summer season.

Things I Like About Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Spa Water Face Mist/Pros:

  • 100% pure thermal spa water
  • Enriched with 15 different types of minerals boosting healthy skin
  • Perfect for skin with irritation, inflammation issues
  • Soothes and hydrates the skin
  • Gives a refreshing cooling effect
  • Great for scorching summer days and oily, sensitive skin
  • Can be used in multiple ways
  • Paraben-free, fragrance-free and hypoallergenic
  • Easily available
  • Travel-friendly

Things I Dlisike About Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Spa Water Face Mist/Cons:

  • Expensive!
  • Doesn’t have a super hydrating formula! I prefer hydrating face mists for my skin
  • A decent face mist for Dry skin people but GREAT for oily skin

Conclusion:

Overall,

Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Spa Water is a pure, soothing face mist for all skin types, including sensitive ones. It refreshes the skin, helps minimize the appearance of pores, and hydrates skin without making it feel heavy or greasy! For my skin, Vichy thermal water felt less hydrating than its other counterparts. However, it’ll be a great pick for oily skin people and the summer season.

If you’ve combination or oily skin, then definitely give this thermal face mist a try.

Will I Repurchase it?

No! However, currently, I am trying out Vichy products from their Mineral 89 range. And oh boy, how hydrating and effective are they! I’ll share their reviews soon, stay tuned!

  1. This sounds like something I would like to try. I’ve been considering using a face mist for the summer but have not gotten around to it yet.

I use the the mineral face spray to spritz my dry hair lightly for shaping. Works wonders when needed.
