La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water Review (My Experience):

(Skin type: Combination, dehydrated, sensitive, acne-prone)

In 2017, I tried the Thermal Spring Water product for the first time from the brand Avene. I was so impressed that I decided to try all types of Thermal Water for my combination, sensitive skin. I have incorporated Thermal Spring water as the first-step face mist in my skincare regime.

The Packaging & Texture of La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water:

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is available in three sizes 300ml, 150ml, and 50ml; mine is 150ml. The thermal water comes in a white and blue color-coded air-tight hermetic packaging with a micro-spray. The packaging has all the product-related information such as ingredients, shelf-life, and other details. The last bottle I bought from Amazon UK has everything written in French and other foreign languages, but my previous bottles from Hong Kong had product details in English (for reference, you can check the above pic)! Overall the packaging is easy to use, carry around, and lightweight.

As the name La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water suggests, it is liquid water only with no fragrance. Those who hate scent in skincare, itโ€™s for you!

How To Use La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water?

Since this thermal spring water comes in a spray bottle, itโ€™s super easy to use! Just spray it on your cleansed face, neck or body and let it absorb into the skin for a few minutes before applying an essence, serum or another product!

Is La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water Effective? How does it work?

The ultra-fine spray of this face mist allows the micro-droplets of water to immediately penetrate the skin. The micro-spray nozzle also allows for an even and uniform application of this face mist. I love when skin toners come in spray bottles, as they are pretty easy to use on the go! I got a smaller container which is travel-friendly; however, 300ml packaging is quite bulky for travel purposes. La Roche-Posay has this product in 50 ml nappy bag size, exclusively for travellers and babies, so no worries!

As mentioned before, I use pure thermal water as the first-step face mist in my skincare routine, and this particular product does a great job of hydrating and prepping my skin for the next step. It not only removes the residues (if any) left by the cleanser but firms the skin also while providing a healthy look. I use another hydrating face mist followed by a moisturizer to complete my skincare routine.

When sprayed on the skin, it gives a cooling sensation, doesnโ€™t matter where you have stored it. I usually keep all kinds of skin toners, face mists, mineral waters and sheet masks in the refrigerator for extra cooling effect.

Does La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water help acne?

It does, to an extent. You read it right! Since this thermal spring water is composed of pure water and powerful components, it soothes the skin and reduces pimple flare-ups, skin inflammation, and redness. As soon as I notice painful pimples on my skin, I apply this face mist directly to heal them. And to date, it never disappointed me! However, donโ€™t expect it to be a magical product for curing your cystic acne issues ๐Ÿ˜•.

Does La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water irritate the sensitive skin?

Itโ€™s absolutely safe! Rich in minerals and anti-oxidant properties, this pure thermal spring water helps refresh and hydrate the skin. The soothing and calming formula is the perfect remedy to calm and soothe inflamed, sensitive skin. However if you have highly irritated and sensitive skin, thermal waters with high mineral content can irritate your skin. Then you must go for thermal water with low mineral content.

A patch test is recommended!

By the way, even if it irritates your facial skin, donโ€™t throw it away. La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is a versatile spray and can be used in multiple ways other than a face mist. You can use it to treat heat rashes or allergies. In summers, hubby and I both suffer from heat rashes. We used this thermal water continuously, and as we believed, it saved our skin by reducing the irritation and rashes!

I have also used this pure water to treat my skin allergy conditions that flare up quite often! The cooling effect helps to soothe the irritated, itching skin. La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is designed to cleanse sensitive baby skin, you can use it easily for your sensitive skin. This thermal water can be used as both body and face mist.

I am a summer girl, and I like bright, sunny days, which uplift my mood and energy. However, the harsh sun rays cause severe skin tanning and itching that I absolutely dislike. This thermal water cannot help with the tanning part but the anti-irritant and anti-itching formula aid in soothing the sun-burnt skin.

Can you use La Roche-Posay thermal spring water as a setting spray?

Yes, of course! I have tried this refreshing thermal water as a setting spray (from a 20 cm distance) to set my makeup. It does a great job of imparting a dewy finish to the final look. However, after purchasing a specific makeup setting spray, I donโ€™t use it this way anymore these days!

I always carry thermal water while travelling and for an instant refreshing effect. I just spray it all across my skin. My sensitive skin adores this product so much.

Avene Thermal Water VS La Roche-Posay, which one is the best for dry & sensitive skin?

Err! Okay, I love both of these thermal spring face mists. But I am biased towards Avene thermal water as I found it more hydrating than La Roche-Posay thermal water for my dry skin.

Is There Any Negative Thing About La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water?

Except for its price, I donโ€™t think it has any negative point to share here. From my experience it gets a huge thumbs up!

EE Points:

5/5

Conclusion:

To sum up,

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is an amazing and effective multi-purpose product that we can use in various ways to treat our sensitive skin. This pure water is absolutely worth the price and hype, and you should give it a try!

Highly recommended!
