Review : Wild Natural Deodorant Refills (Juicy Mango & Fresh Cotton Sea Salt) And Reusable Cases

I received these items as PR samples, along with their lip balms, and I’ve been using them consistently for the past few months. I’m stressing the word consistently because, unlike my dad and elder sister, I’m not someone who’s addicted to deodorants or perfumes!

I have odorless armpits. My pits don’t smell even when I’m sweating profusely or skipping a bath due to a fever! So, I use perfumes or deodorants sparingly, mostly just to feel good and smell lovely, especially during trips or special occasions. I’m still not done with my super old Gucci Guilty (2014) perfume, lol 😜! So, for the sake of this review, I used them almost daily to give you my honest thoughts. 

Wild’s vegan deodorant refills come in various scents. They keep adding new ones each season. Also, this was the first time I’ve ever used a deodorant in a solid, bar-style format. So even if you’re not into these particular scents or case designs, you can always browse their collection and pick one that suits your vibe.

Wild Natural Deodorant Refills (Juicy Mango & Fresh Cotton Sea Salt) Review:

Packaging:

Wild’s Juicy Mango and Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt solid refills come in  simple rectangular blocks with no fancy packaging. They are plastic-free, compostable refills.

The Juicy Mango deodorant refill features a bright yellow-orange label with the “Wild” logo, “Deodorant Refill,” and the scent name “JUICY MANGO” in bold red text. The label also includes cute illustrations of mango slices and notes that it’s “Vegan friendly & aluminium free.” The ingredients, shelf life and other details are printed at the back of the packaging.

The Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt deodorant refill is a small rectangular block with rounded edges and a creamy off-white colour. It’s topped with a light green and white paper label that reads “Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt” at the top. The label also displays the “Wild” logo prominently, followed by “Deodorant Refill” and the weight in smaller green text. The ingredients, shelf life and other important details are printed at the back of the packaging.

Since I’ve already inserted the refills (Juicy Mango in the red-hearted “MUM” case and Fresh Cotton in the black heart case), you won’t see the solid deo bars inside the packaging.

Texture:

Both refills are white in colour and have a smooth, creamy texture. Juicy Mango has a strong, refreshing fruity fragrance, while Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt smells lovely, fresh, and mildly floral.

My Experience:

Since this was my first time using solid deodorant bars, I was skeptical about their usability and effectiveness. But trust me, they’re super easy to use and actually quite convenient for people on the go 🙂!

You simply need to take the solid refills out of their paper blocks and insert them into your refillable deodorant cases. I’ve explained this step in detail below, along with the case review.

Before application, I always clean and dry my armpits. Now that the weather is hot here in the UK, I use a clean tissue first to wipe off any excess moisture. It only takes a couple of gentle swipes to apply on my pits. It glides beautifully on smooth, waxed skin and feels a bit bumpy on shaved, pokey pits, if that makes sense 😀!

After application, you might notice some white residue on your armpits. I gently rub the area with my fingers, and within seconds it gets absorbed into the skin. I always give this natural deodorant a bit of extra time to dry before wearing my outfit for the day.

Even though they’ve never stained my clothes to date, I still don’t want to take any chances! On days when I applied a bit too much product, I did notice white residue under the folds of my pits, especially on hot, sweaty days. To get rid of that, I just rubbed the area again. Easy-peasy!  

They keep my armpits smelling fresh and nice for about 6–7 hours. Of course, a deodorant’s staying power also depends on your body chemistry. I reapply them if I’m home, or skip it if I’m outdoors, because I often forget to reapply sunscreen or deodorant when I’m out exploring cities anyway. And as I mentioned earlier, I have odorless pits, so it’s not really an issue for me!

I love that these Wild deo refills are aluminium-free and made with skin-loving, natural, vegan-friendly ingredients. I haven’t experienced any irritation or allergies with these natural, non-sticky deodorants so far!

Wild Refillable Plastic-free, Aluminum Deodorant Cases Review:

To use these natural deodorants comfortably, you’ll need suitable cases. Wild’s refillable deodorant cases are beautiful, plastic-free, and made from aluminum, making them sustainable and planet-friendly.

The body of the black rectangular deodorant case (a Valentine’s edition) with rounded edges is a creamy off-white colour. It’s adorned with a pattern of small, black, upside-down “V” shapes (resembling hearts or arrows) scattered across its surface. The brand logo “Wild” is printed near the bottom centre of the case. The top portion is black, and the white cap also features the same black “V/heart” pattern.

Similarly, the red and cream-coloured refillable deodorant case (designed in collaboration with Emma Bridgewater for Mother’s Day) has a rounded rectangular shape. It’s decorated with a charming pattern of scattered hearts in varying shades of pink and red. Near the top, the word “Mum” is printed and toward the bottom, the “Wild” logo is featured, followed by the “Emma Bridgewater” text to mark the collaboration. The top portion of the case is maroon, and its off-white cap displays the same heart pattern.

If you are wondering how to fill/refill your Wild refillable deodorant case, here is your step-by-step process – 

1. Gently pull the base out of your deodorant case.
2. Slip your refill from the sleeve & carefully pop onto the base.
3. Slide base into your case (it’ll click). Twist to the right to use.
4. Deo finished? Twist base back to starting position and repeat.

These hearts-designed deodorant cases are super cute, neat and easy to carry around. I love the refillable concept. You just buy a case once from the Wild store with a deodorant of your choice and reuse it as long as it’s not broken. But honestly, these cases are made from aluminium, so they’re sturdy and built to last.

Both of these belong to Wild’s special limited editions, so they might not be available now. However, their other cases are equally pretty and work just the same. You can easily pick one that suits your vibe from their current collection.
