Hi everyone,
I hope all of you are safe and having a great time with your family. I’ve started this new year 2021 doing my favorite hobby which is shopping 😛 I purchased a few hair and skincare products (a mini haul) keeping the current winter season in mind! So without further ado, let me show you what I’ve got in my beauty parcels.
Apart from the beauty stores, I have bought most of these products online from The Body Shop website and Selfridges.
My winter hair care & skin care beauty haul + first impression
HALO Eye Makeup Remover Pads (30)
Before I run out of my Etude House eye make up remover, I thought of having a backup of it. Most of the time, I use simple Vaseline to remove the eye makeup (and it works like charm) :P. However, we must keep a dedicated product for this purpose. So, I purchased these fragrance-free eye makeup remover pads for my sensitive eyes.
The product says fragrance-free eye make-up remover pads gently remove your makeup, including waterproof mascara. They are suitable for all skin types and have been dermatologically tested. Hypoallergenic, developed to minimize allergenic potential.

Paula’s Choice Defense Nightly reconditioning Moisturizer
The brand says a sheer radiance-boosting night cream that primes skin against pollution while you sleep. Infused with wild cherry and flaxseed, it claims to be a soothing, lightweight lotion, helps minimize visible signs of aging, and neutralizes daily environmental damage. It is suitable for all skin types.
I was looking for a good night cream for my combination skin, and this moisturizer seemed good to me price and ingredients-wise. I’ve never tried any product from this brand Paula’s Choice. So yes, I do have a high expectation from this night cream. Let’s see if it works great for my skin!
Now let me share The Body Shop hair care products. After The Nature’s Co brand, if any shampoo worked for my hair, it’s from the Body Shop brand. So this time I’ve got about four shampoos from this brand.
The Body Shop Strawberry Clearly Glossing Shampoo
The brand says,
This fruity beauty is about to become your new best friend. It is enriched with juicy strawberries, sunkissed under the Italian sun. Our formula is also infused with Community Fair Trade aloe vera from Mexico. Just lather up with this strawberry scented shampoo and enjoy sweet-smelling locks all day long.
I’ve never tried this shampoo before, so I am super excited to give this a try. My hair is becoming dull day by day, thanks to London’s hard water! I hope this glossy shampoo brings back the shine to my hair (fingers crossed).
The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Purifying Shampoo
The product says, usually reserved for the contents of your favorite mug, Japanese green tea works wonderfully in our Fuji Green Tea™ shampoo. Our formula helps cleanse hair – just one of the many green tea benefits for hair Purifying Shampoo. It also helps to revitalize your hair, so you can really give those locks some much-needed TLC. And since it’s enriched with honey, you’ll emerge from the shower with hair that feels clean and luxuriously soft.
Now, I love using purifying clay masks for my skin then why not use the same purifying product for my hair? I am so interested in trying out this green tea shampoo!

The Body Shop Shea Butter Shampoo
The brand says,
Our Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Shampoo is enriched with Community Fair Trade shea butter from Ghana, handcrafted by women who have used shea butter to intensely nourish dry hair for generations. This gentle cleansing formula won’t leave your hair feeling stripped of moisture, and it’s perfect for dry hair that is prone to damage. Treat your hair to this nutty goodness to enjoy locks that look healthier and feel richly replenished.
I did try this shampoo long back in 2018 when I was in Hong Kong. This was my husband’s favorite hair cleanser. I tried this shampoo only for a couple of days because I was using other shampoos for my hair at that time (2018). I’ll use this shea butter shampoo soon and share its detailed review. Do you have dry and damaged hair? Then stay tuned to know my take on this product!
The Body Shop Ginger Anti-dandruff Shampoo
The brand says, Our Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo gently loosens flakes and helps soothe dry, itchy scalps. If you live in fear of flakes, this is the best shampoo for dry scalps. It helps take care of the snowstorm shoulders that can drive a dandruff sufferer to distraction, and smells pleasantly – well, gingery.
It is our go-to anti-dandruff shampoo! My husband and I have dandruff-prone, itchy scalps. So we need to wash our hair with an anti-dandruff shampoo regularly. Although I keep trying out other anti-dandruff shampoos, nothing can match this one! By now, I should have published its review on my blog. Anyway, pick it if you have severe dandruff issues. I will share what I don’t like about this product in my review post 😀 If you are curious to know more about it, then read this review here.
I didn’t buy any conditioner this time because I am yet to finish my current conditioners. Along with these shampoos, I also bought two shower gels from The Body Shop.
The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel
The brand says our uplifting Mango Shower Gel is like a daily dose of sunshine in a bottle, leaving you pepped up for the day and your skin feeling fresh and sweetly scented. Like many of The Body Shop’s shower gels, it feels luxuriously nourishing on your skin without stripping it of the good stuff. And it’s the perfect shower gel to keep you feeling fresh and confident wherever the day takes you.
I like using shower gels. I have already tried a few shower gels from this brand, so I was excited to give their other shower gels a try. I picked Mango because it’s my favorite fruit, and I like fruity fragranced products.

The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel
The brand says our Satsuma Shower Gel helps you get up and go every morning. This energizing bottle of sunshine cleanses your skin and refreshes your senses, leaving you feeling blissfully awakened. Enriched with cold-pressed satsuma extract, you can lather up with this zesty number and enjoy the fresh fragrant notes of sweet orange and mandarin. It’s The Body Shop Shower Gel you’ll love to wake up to, bringing a little slice of summer into your shower.
Satsuma shower gel is the best seller in their shower gel range. This is my husband’s favorite shower gel, so I purchased it again for us. Well, I have used this body wash previously and loved its refreshing aroma. Read my full review here.
Biossance 100% Squalane Oil
A weightless, multi-tasking oil harvested from renewable Brazilian sugarcane that instantly hydrates while locking in essential moisture. Squalane is clinically-proven to help promote microbiome diversity for healthier-looking skin. Our plant-based formula helps save millions of sharks every year from unethical liver harvesting.
I bought this 100ml squalane oil from the Selfridges site (currently, it’s out of stock). I was looking for a good facial oil for my dry skin. Hope this oil works great for my skin and causes no breakouts!

NIVEA Extra Rich Moisturizing Lotion For Dry Skin
The product says NIVEA lotion for dry skin is a rich, creamy lotion that has been specially formulated to provide long-lasting moisture. Dry skin is left feeling soothed and smooth.
My skin is super dry, especially my hands and feet. Oh God, the skin of hands look so aged (about 50ish) 🙁 I hope this lotion takes care of all my dry skin issues this winter.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Foot Magic Cream With Vitamin E
The product says pure Cocoa Butter, enriched with Vitamin E and other natural emollients, provides a deep penetrating treatment for the feet. This unique formulation moisturizes, softens, and smoothes even the roughest, driest skin. The addition of soothing Peppermint Oil revitalizes sore, tired feet.
As I said before, my feet need special attention during winters. So this time, I purchased this foot cream from this brand. I like Palmer’s products. I tried their lip balm and coconut body oil, and they both performed well on my skin. Hence, I do have high expectations from this foot cream as well.
Well, my last two products have been playing an important role ever since the lockdown started! It has been 11months since I visited any salon. I have been doing threading and waxing at home using the strips only! As I am running out of my regular wax strips, so thought of purchasing some new variants.
Boots Smooth Care Wax Strips For Sensitive Skin (Face) With Aloe Vera & Sweet Almond Oil
The brand says we’ve enriched our wax strips with an extract of aloe vera and sweet almond oil to leave your skin feeling soft, moisturized and smooth to touch. We’ve also included a hand full of our soothing finishing wipes, to help you remove any of that unwanted wax.

The product says, our gel formula with Easy-Gel™

So it gives confidence to achieve great 1st time results, even for those inexperienced with wax strips. The strip is designed to allow precise application so it’s ideal for small and delicate areas like your upper lip, cheeks and chin.
